Like these intensive colors. But I think this girl looks much like a doll and not like a living human. The flowers in the front are the best! The whole background is very beautiful. :)

see that's what I said...but my teacher didn't want me to change it, or for that matter help me make her look more real. I got a long speech about how it was 'mine' not renoir's ...and, some other stuff he lost me after 30 min..

But for the most part It's because I don't like mixing colors on a palete. I much prefer taking rich colors and mixing them on cavas...I'm so messy when I paint. Everything in a 3 feet radius gets some kind of mess on it. Lazy bastard.

Really ironic, I'm studying him along with a few other impressionists in class. =) You did a very nice job as far as I can tell but we're in the earlier stages of studying him so I'm still pretty stupid to him and the way he painted. (If you were aiming to try and put your own play on his style.)

Either way, very well done. =) Love the background.

lovely. i too like to mix the colors on right there on the the canvas. actually i think she looks quite lively, but i think you would do well to try and achieve more of an overall look, even if it's different than renoirs.

Hm I think the color of the hair doesn't fit right to the skin and there is to less natural shading on skin. Just what I guess.
