This weekend I went to the open house at Maryland Institute of Art (MICA)....I loved it, so going there in the Spring.
While I was there though I spent time at my grandmothers because she lives in Maryland. While I was there we went through a lot of her old photo’s and what she salvaged from my great grand parents house that no one else wanted. In these photo’s was a large amount of sketches and drawings my great grandfather had done while he was in WWII. I fell in love with his dry humor...and the moment I took this out of the old and dusty box I was intranced. Seeing my sparkling eyes my grandmother gave me the drawing. My great grandfather was a medic in the war and had traveled a great deal during the war, the drawing is filled with places he had been. On top of the drawing my grandmother had given me the rosary beads he had taken with him to the war.
Wow, that is so awesome. I love the style, so very WWII.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
